It is a collaboration between physical and social scientists, science communicators, media consultants, social activists, and educators, with the goal of empowering teachers and their students to engage in climate learning and action. The goals of the project are to: (1) increase collaboration and collective impact of West Virginia physical science experts, social science experts, community activists, and teachers to address climate change in the state; (2) empower West Virginia teachers in a range of disciplines to work together in data-driven investigations; and (3) highlight, reward, and promote climate change engagement of WV teachers and students through civic action and public media campaigns.
